The Delhi Technological University has conducted a Symposium viz., "India - a knowledge society". This Symposium was conducted in collaboration with Delhi College of Engineering and Society for Technology and National Development. This Symposium was held at India Habitat Centre at New Delhi. This Symposium was inaugurated by Mr.Jithendar Khanna, Chancellor of Delhi Technological University. He mentioned that by nature, Indians are very shrewd and the present requirement for the country is shrewd and honest Indians.
The main address was delivered by Dr. S.K.Brahmachari, Director, Council of Scientific and Industrial Research or C.S.I.R. The discussion in the Symposium was mainly concentrated upon the developments in India in the field of Science and Technology and steps required to change India in to a knowledge society.
